Chiara keeps a journal which she writes in
I remember doing this myself and handling the things that were bothering me, or the things that I had enjoyed during the day. I know my parents knew about it but they never read it! I am the same and I never touch her journal.
She knows that she can talk to me about anything. When she was getting so much attention from Angelo (who is four years older than her) she would talk to me about what she was struggling with. She said she had written about it in her journal but what could I tell her about what he was saying and what he was doing.
It was cathartic for her I think because I tried to advise rather than react. Yes, it was difficult for me because this was my beloved daughter who was being mistreated.
