My Mama says she believes that I am still grieving for my son

He died and I suffered a miscarriage when I was five months pregnant in March. I was hospitalised for several days initially because he was still inside my womb, and they gave me drugs to induce me to go into labour.

My parents were very supportive from the start, whereas my supposed fiancé within two weeks had disappeared, and my father got the police ( the Carabinieri) to finally locate him in a mental health facility in Naples. He could not be interviewed but his parents were visited by the officers.

My brother got a promotion transfer so that he was able to be on hand for additional support. He has been a great help, as has his wife, my sister in law, despite having a young family, my niece and nephew.

Mama says it is going to take a lot longer for me to get over this tragedy. She’s glad that I have Chiara and that we are very close as mother and daughter, and we are each other’s confidant. I’m not sure how my anxiety affects her, and I try hard not to be too intense when she is home.
