Busy Times in The Summer Hols.
It's took me a little while to get myself back together, SW, so I'm sorry if you missed my witty repartee!
This summer holiday's has just blazed along!
Firstly, let's see...we all went over to Islington, which is a part of London I don't believe I've really spent much time in. Mind you, I don't really go to London often so that's nothing!
Kaz, myself and Hope went to see Eric Johnson play at the Assembly Hall there, late July. Fantastic concert. Eric's this very polite, unassuming Texan who, pop a guitar on, and some of the most gorgeous sounds come out.
Tone to die for? Oh, I think so!
Hope's in her element. Me? I love Eric too. My favourite living guitarist, I think. Kaz? She gets into it, bless...
Then back home to Surrey, then up to Newcastle for a week, stopping in Derbyshire and then Sheffield for a couple of days along the way. Family and friends. My lot.
Nice time..
Then, a gorgeous week in Newcastle and surrounding areas with Kaz's family...and we fitted in my sky dive!
Around 15k feet, strapped to this poor guy, with only an exaggerated hankie to stop us crashing to the floor! Talk about heart pounding! I think I tried to scream but nothing came out! Quite the thrill....after I composed myself, I did want to go again!
Nice hanging with her fam. Food and drink and walks, basically, although the temp was in the high 30's throughout.
Then, back home...wash and pack.....then fly over to...Italy!
The south, to be exact.
2 whole weeks of bliss....beaches... Italian food...their ice cream....
Mmmmmmm.....
We're always based in Sorrento, and made excursions to Naples and surrounding areas. Pompeii....that was lovely.
New, and slightly more famous than the Sheffield Wednesday shirts that we have, Italian football shirts...Napoli Stadium tour....
Then, hire a boat.....jet off to Capri....do a little swimming....then sightseeing in Capri...where the beautiful people go.
Damn expensive!
Hope met a nice lad whilst in Sorrento. He was from the north. Lovely parents. We hung out for a few days, whilst our kids played. They've since emailed, which is nice too.
Then....home!
Unpack...shedloads of washing...and get Hope ready to start school.
Oh, it's been all go!
