Tonight I dropped my nephew off to watch his first middle school football game

Beforehand he was shocked that he was just being dropped off and nobody’s parents were staying. And afterward, he told me that no one even watches the game, everyone just hangs out with their friends.
They grow up so fast 🥹

I have a niece in middle school now who always insisted she likes boy things. She wanted to go fishing and memorized all the different kinds of fishies in a book. I’ll blink and she’ll be graduating high school.

@itsok Aw, shucks. I bet you were adorable too!

@Reject nah. I didn’t really talk. I definitely wouldn’t have waved to anyone 😅

@itsok It’s okay to be shy! I was too honestly, but when the love of your life waves you have no choice in the matter. It’s serious business! Shy is very cute in its own way. I had a soft spot for Bashful in the seven dwarves so don’t underestimate yourself!

I was a bookworm as well. I read all the time. The Harry Potter series. Hank the Cowdog. A series of Unfortunate Events. Goosebumps. Lord of the Rings, and many more!
when my son played baseball..first year I watched every game.. I hate to admit, after that just kinda spaced off in my own little world

@Bexsy I remember when this same nephew played t-ball and I’d have wine in my water bottle for every game.
I was soaking up the sun for the soccer games, and super overstimulated for the basketball games.
