Should my parents still make me have a tracker on my phone if I graduated high school?

I have graduated from high school now, so is it fair or reasonable that my parents still make me keep the tracking program on my phone so they can see where I am all the time, just like they always did before i graduated?

i remember when i was 18 many moons ago. we didn't have cell phones. are you worried your parents are going to find out you're hanging out at a place you shouldn't be at? see what happens if you go out but leave your phone at home....but that's probably next to impossible for someone your age to do
@SoccerBlockerTyler how would your parents react if let's say you got a part time job and got your your own phone that you're paying for?

@beermeplease i do have a part time job this summer as a carpenters helper but the phone is part of our family plan it is 2 expensive to just get one all by myself that is not part of a family plan it would take most of all the money i will get paid,
@SoccerBlockerTyler just get a good education and get a rewarding job that pays you enough to leave the nest one day...i wish you luck

If you’re still leaving at home. It’s their house their rules. When my stepson turned 18 he was told the same thing it’s my house my rules.

Do you have your own phone and your own plan? Do you live in their house? There is a solution to your problem.

@MoveAlong i think its like a family plan it is for all of us,

It sounds like you might have to live with it for a while longer. Or:

Maybe you should have a talk with them. Tell them you would like to be treated like an adult. And that you don't like to feel that someone is watching you all the time. Ask them to trust and have faith in you.

You are still young
Still their responsibility

Just depends between you and your parents, honestly

For me it's about being safe, and a "just in case there's an accident" it's not about trusting someone for me. It can also be curiosity... wondering about where someone is at. I'm sure there's a fine line between trusting youngsters and just wanting to know that they are safe. Someday you'll be able to afford your own phone and can make that decision for them then.
Do you rely on them for money and a place to live ?? If the answer is yes, then yeah, you gotta play by their rules. If you dont like that, then, its probably time to move out and become self sufficient.

If they're paying for it, it's their choice. Maybe they're trying to motivate you to get a job, move out and pay for your own phone and plan.

If they on the phone, they have the right to make you have a tracker
