We are having the day at the house today

My grandmother has been quiet about her acute problems, including depression, and she has not told me about her struggles with her mental health issues or anything. She is very lonely and has been struggling to cope with it.

I try to phone her every few days, speaking on FaceTime as much as possible, but I can see I need to be more focused on this. We are all we have since my parents and my brother were killed in two incidents of the war. I’m tying a knot in my neck to remember to phone her more often, and when I am not working and can afford to, I am coming to Jerusalem.

there are charities that cater to elderly in jerusalem you should look into them so they can visit her once in awhile just so she's not lonely .. really there should be more programs just for visiting elderly people so they don't feel alone
