My son is similar. He never cared about toys, he did math workbooks for fun. His gifts have transitioned into fun experiences. Instead of stuff, I plan a day of fun. Even little geniuses need to be silly. And quality time with loved ones is invaluable at any age.

These are still all material things though, don't undervalue the intangibles, particularly as an instructive contrast against potentially excessive displays of wealth, make sure there is balance so they don't grow up infected with negatives like affluenza
