What you’re describing is deeper than just “wanting to leave.” Sometimes when a person grows up constantly moving, the mind learns that leaving is safer than staying through discomfort. So when conflict, disappointment, or uncertainty comes, your first instinct becomes escape. But the fact that you desire stability now means your heart is already moving toward healing.
The first thing is prayer. Ask God to heal every fear connected to instability, loss, and starting over. Pray for wisdom to know the difference between a situation that truly needs to end and one that simply needs patience, communication, and growth. God can teach your heart endurance little by little.
Also, don’t make permanent decisions in temporary emotions. When problems arise, give yourself time before leaving. Learn to stay long enough to communicate, reflect, and work through discomfort. Strong relationships and stable careers are usually built through seasons of misunderstanding, correction, and perseverance.
You are not doomed to repeat the pattern you saw growing up. Healing is possible, and stability can become your new normal.

I think constantly moving around as a kid probably taught you that leaving is normal, even when it hurts. So now whenever things get difficult, your brain automatically goes into “maybe I should leave” mode.
The fact that you recognize the pattern is honestly important. A lot of people don’t.
Not every problem means something is wrong though. Sometimes discomfort is just part of staying, growing, and building something long-term. Maybe instead of leaving immediately, give yourself time before making decisions.
You’re not stuck this way forever. Patterns can change once you become aware of them.
