Men are not emotional enough?

Do the women in general believe that men are not emotional enough? And seek physical pleasure more than anything else out of a relationship? I think it cud be that men don't express enough or have the right mind space most of the time to freely express. :/

I think for some men being intimate is their way of showing love.
Many women 's way of showing love is giving and they tend to get burnt out on relationships if they give a lot more than they ever get.
So, if you're ignoring her and you never do anything nice for her she's not going to be too keen to be intimate.
I can't say that's true of all male /female relationships, but I do think it is quite common.
I do believe men ,of course, have emotions.
I do not believe that all women want the same thing... But, I would want a strong man who shows me by his actions, words, and deeds that he loves me and he doesn't have to be blubbering about it.

@Justmeraeagain I like your thoughts. But sometimes intentions r same but actions are different. I have noticed some girls may expect a gesture of gifts (need not be costly) to feel that their man cares, however the guy on the other hand may be thoughtful n providing for with different functional stuff which may not seem like a gift and it still make the girl feel that the guy is not caring enough.

No I don't believe that. I've met many emotional men. It depends on the person and a majority of either sex just seem to have issues expressing it.

@ScreamingFox personal struggle then it is. _/\_

well men are less able to hold themselves in being vulnerable , for women it comes naturally
Like similarly, perhaps, it comes naturally for men to reason, while women need to put in some effort.
It's perhaps a little different ways of operating, and nothing wrong, and also, that is of course a generalization. in reality, we all contain it all.

@Boeing Yea social structure is becoming more like "everyone for themselves"
GoFish ·
i don't believe that but i'm not a sexist.. i know that everyone is an individual with views and desires and emotions regardless of their gender
Om2014 · 36-40, M
@GoFish that's so much better. To take anyone at their face value 😊

@Om2014 yeah ☺

@GoFish :)
Depends on the man, depends on the woman. Some men can be very emotional (anger is an emotion) and some women have experienced that from men.
Men are perhaps more emotional than or equally as women. Hence the anger, bc that's the only "allowed" emotion for them in this toxic patriarchy

@SatanBurger What I feel u refer to is emotional intelligence. I personally think women can be more grounded n inclusive caring, less reactive? Then again personal behaviour takes precedence everyone can be different
SatanBurger · 36-40, F
@Om2014 I'm not gonna say women vs men type stuff. I just notice patterns with certain groups of people like the fake alpha male movements of a far right nature.

I've also seen women fight each other so I can't say
Om2014 · 36-40, M
@SatanBurger Probably my experience of it all is derived from how relationships had been working out here in my country and the clear distinct role a mother n father played in tight knit families. That all is changing though. Arranged marriage stuff is probably the reason, on the contrary when everyone is own their own to make things workout for themselves relationships n people can evolve out in many different ways. N I m kindof oblivious to alpha male stuff , I have heard of it here n there but sounded stupid wtever that points out to.

I'd say I'm a very emotional and silly guy. I just don't show my emotions to everyone.
Kiesel · 56-60, M
Yeah, well that’s a myth for some men
Om2014 · 36-40, M
@Kiesel I hope so

@XxBlahxX That's a valid baseline! How would u define emotional intelligence though? As in a person shud be more empathetic? N considerate or should not crib about petty matters? Would u mind elaborating?
XxBlahxX · F
@Om2014 A man having emotional intelligence means and man who ...knows when to be supportive..a man whom you can communicate with as well as express his needs without being angry or shutting down . A man who can read the room and can regulate his emotions.
Om2014 · 36-40, M
@XxBlahxX makes sense, shudnt get overwhelmed by emotions n act like a teen
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Yes, men are physically sensitive. Women are emotionally sensitive. People need to understand this difference.!!! but sadly no one does not even men
