My friend Jasmine moved here from the philippines a year ago. Just got word

That her mother has stage 5 renal failure and has refused dialysis and is in the hospital on palliative care. His youngest 18 year old sister is just graduating from school. Another sister has moved back home to care for the mother and be there with the younger sister. Not sure if Jasmine can even go home for the funeral when her mom dies. Plus all of the hospital care is quite expensive. It's quite the mess.
