What did our parents do to pass time before the Internet was invented ?

Chores, hobbies like sewing, woodworking, gardening, crafts, driving or walking to the library to read and look things up, movie theaters, skating rinks, putt-putt golf, driving out in the country and drinking beer and skipping rocks over the lake, fishing, hunting, and oh yeah working a job. A lot of them were too tired to become bored.
