My mom is a lousy human being and probably gave me childhood asthma

She did (probably).

She isn't exactly a disciplined woman. In fact she is an example to me all my life of exactly the kind of woman and human I should never be involved with.

What I mean by this is that she couldn't even read or write properly. No education or knowledge about the world whatsoever. Just no curiosity about it. Even worse, even when it was necessary for her to have education or some kind of willpower to reach goals that would improve her life, you could always count on her to give up. It wouldn't be giving up because it was beyond her abilities but it was giving up out of sheer laziness all her life.

And for this I have never really felt proud to have come from this woman.

That being understood she was also a smoker (because of course she fucking was with a background like this). I cannot believe after seeing the low level of character I saw in my mother her whole life that she really quit smoking when she was pregnant.

And what happens when women smoke during pregnancy? Asthma. Thanks.
