My daughter is going through this with my wife. She is in care in a good place now, thank goodness. But it has worn my daughter down..
I coped with my wife since well before Covid, but there came a point where I just couldnt cope myself . Now that my wife is in care I am getting around to a few niggling medical issues of my own and guess who I have to rely on for help. Yep. The same daughter..But thats temporary..
I should add that my wife and I took in and cared for both my mother in law and my own mother in their declining years, while raising our kids. And in hindsight, maybe the disruption to the kids lives was a mistake.. But its done now.. I just hope my daughter gets a break...😷
Find something relaxing to rejuvenate yourself. Like a hobby or a social group.
Something to get you out of yourself for a while.
For me, I have several hobbies. That way I don't get bored.
To get out of my main personality I switch gears to one of my feminine traits (and I have several).
That's an idea! Try accessing one of your male traits! Build something or something like that! Get out of your own self.

Relatable, I'm in the early stages with my Mom. Its tough seeing her go through this.

It’s tough. That’s what you’re supposed to do, make sure they’re safe. And treat them in a way they can maintain their dignity when lucid.

I just wish I could hug my parents one more time in this life.
@Degbeme Sadly, that's EVERY person's wish as we get older!
To hug them one more time, to hear their voice once more, to have one more conversation ... the list goes on for everyone about those we have lost.

unfortunately its unavoidable
you need to try to set aside a self love day to recharge & take care of your needs
it helps
