Wrapping the Year on a Good Note

My mom has had some health issues that have her struggling to live comfortably in the only home she's known the last 60 years. Its been a tough sell, but we convinced her the home is no longer suitable for her.

She and my step-father closed on a patio home recently. My brother, sister-in-law and I, along with help from other family members are painting the entire place and doing several upgrades this week ahead of them moving into the place soon.

For all the ups and downs of this year, to be able to help make this move a positive thing and give back for all she's done for me /us .. kinda puts the rest of it in perspective.
