Borderline personality disorder and family separation

Anyone on here have borderline personality disorder?? And also dealing with family members that refuse to speak to them ?? It’s caused more family issues due to the tension. Nothing really happened except they don’t respect me as my child’s mother. And I drew a line with the fact that if they can’t respect me then you don’t need to be around my child. But now we are trying to have two family gatherings because of the silent drama. Anyways. I don’t think this will mend. It’s taken a toll on my mental and emotional health/ well being. I do have a new therapist but he doesn’t focus on the diagnosis. Once I’m insured I may have to find my own therapist so I know how to cope with this with having BPD on top of it. Anyone have the same problems at home ??

I have been diagnosed years ago with CPTSD. I have very few people in my life at this stage. Have you ever tried Dialectical behaviour therapy?
@Perry1968 My peer support worker is dx with BPD and she has done DBT several times; what an inspiring woman <3

@Perry1968 I’ve heard of it. Does it work

@Creolequeen It helps control emotions. Its a learned thing of course. Needs alot of practicing to keep things in our minds to see results. Remember your thoughts are not you. They are merely thoughts. Another good one for Trauma i found was EMDR. It desensitised me from a few very serious traumatic events.
