I'm not fond of compulsory gift giving.

The expectation seems to genuinely be that you just accumulate more and more stuff in your finite home until you eventually die. If I find something someone will like, I'll happily buy it for them but these days that doesn't happen as often as it used to. More and more products these days are just stupid and low quality anyway.

My sister and I both sent out gift registries this year. Glad we did but completely defeats the purpose.

I love to give giftts. I often find things that make me think of someone, and i gift it.
However, i do not participate in the gift giving at christmas. Actually, the commercialization of the season compels me to turn from it entirely.

And yes. Stuff. I am still, after five years, dealing with my mothers accumulated stuff. If i die anytime soon, someone will have to deal with hers and mine as well.
