Kids DO say the darnedest things

You know those videos where an existing child is told by his fond parents that they are in the process of forming their replacement?

One mother said to her toddler son, “I have a baby in my belly.”

The little boy asked, “Why did you eat it?”

And another…all excited by his mother and his new sister coming home from the hospital, knelt on the couch while they unswathed the baby and held her out to him. The brother looked at the baby and then scuttled backward away from her.

He said, “Put her back.”
