Sometimes, that is the most impactful part of the discipline. Knowing there is an issue, knowing you have let someone down.. Then you begin imagining the punishment prior to it even happening. The physical punishment is enhanced by affecting the mind and the verbal. I find over the kitchen counter is a great place for a spot punishment.
