I spend so much time crying in public placss because of being forced to stop school for family parties

It irritates me on how much I have to advocate myself to not go to parties because I have homework. Balancing 5 courses and working nursing home. Yet, my family forced me to attend and I'm losing it with being behind on readings and assignments. I told my dad that I won't go to these parties anymore and he told me to start working less at the Nursing Home. And I'm so irritated because I need the money to cover rent, tuition and my phonebill. It's not that simple of a fix.

As others said you need to set firm boundaries with your family even if it upsets them. They will learn to respect them over time
