the last major project for team me and Pop who is now 84 years old.

for several years ive been replacing the old boiler, water heater, galvanized plumbing, and electrical service in my basement. the last major task is a paint job and replace the old flexible copper tubing that fuels my gas clothes dryer which IS NOT per building code!!! black iron pipe is the correct material to use all the way to the appliance. there is a special line with brass fittings that attach the iron pipe to the appliance. need an extra pair of hands to ensure the elbows at each turn, remain at correct angle while tightening each new piece of pipe. i dont know what i will do when i lose Pop, my own body is a train wreck😒

I commend you on making the "last leg" between your gas source and your appliance correct!

Codes advance because of problems discovered, and gas and electrical systems are particularly dangerous to neglect.

Now there is much better sealant and much better flexible pipe than what used to be used. And enjoy working with your father. 😊
