The challenges of raising an autistic
There was a short-lived Sesame Street character in the 70s called Sam the Robot. I found Sam scary. I certainly took to technology, but I found Sam scary. I didn't find the Count scary; not his fangs, not his widow's peak, not his monocle, not his accent, not his evil laugh, not his bats (they were kinda fun actually), not the lightning he commanded. But I found Sam scary.
And now that I'm an adult, I can't even explain why I had those attitudes about those characters. Even though it was my brain that produced that psychology, I can't even relate to it now. When I'm confronted by that ineptitude, the idea of raising an autistic child is daunting
