Is it normal to view another woman as like a second mother?

When I was growing up and my mother couldn't be there, another woman in my neighborhood would make sure that I was okay and check if I needed something, so I view her as a second mother because she looked out for me.

Of course it is.
My best friend saw my mum as his second mother, because he came out to me and my family first, and she supported him through all that.
