Should I attempt to write a story

I was helping out a colleague yesterday and later in the day another family member

In both instances I had to explain information in detail.
Apparently the way I explained was so interesting that the statement was made that I should have been a teacher

I stutter and standing in front of people and talking is my worst fear

So they both suggested to me to write a book and see where I go

I wonder if I should

If you really want to write a story, go ahead and do it. You may have to do extensive research on how to do it, but if your heart's really in it, go ahead. I was also asked and urged years ago, on why I didn't become a teacher. The reasons were obvious. I also am not good with speaking in front of people and I don't have the patience when it comes to kids.
