lol I wish I knew why this hurt me

My mom called me fat on my wedding day , told me she was ok if I walked out , said my wedding was her worst nightmare , told people not to get me wedding gifts , didn’t throw me a bridal shower or rehearsal dinner because I didn’t have a bunch of friends to invite and because my mother in law wanted to follow some cultural traditions

It seems to be all too common, your story. Is there no father in your life or siblings that will congratulate you on your marriage?
