Angle, I think. Certainly since 500AD.
No infusion of Normans, as fiercely defended by Hereward the Wake. Mentioned in Doomsday book as having its distinct dialect.

@basilfawlty89 I belief we gave the Norman invaders an acute pain, as we did the Danes before that.

If we delve earlier, Romans did not have much luck with the Iceni either. Is that too obtuse for you?
So I’m likely to be Iron Age Celt.

@peterlee wait...no? Angles are Germanic. Celts are a different IE branch.

The Fens were a very stable community. No one really ventured there.
