@SumKindaMunster you're right, they're being persecuted illegally! 🤣
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@SpudMuffin Yeah that's about all you can muster, a silly nonsensical reply. Let me know when you can piece together a relevant rebuttal...if you can...🤣
SpudMuffin · 61-69, M
@SumKindaMunster just restating what you said. I know English is difficult for non-native speakers, but it's important to keep trying!

@faery I'm pointing out that nobody here legally is being prosecuted. If you are in this country legally, you are not the target of ICE. Your comment about immigrants from the UK is a strawman argument, that's the point I am making.
faery · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster Who said anything about being "prosecuted"? In fact, it takes due process to be prosecuted in the US. I guess we'll see if they skip that constitutional step this time.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@faery Yes you used the word persecuted, which is incorrect, so I was correcting your grammar along with your point.
faery · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster No, it was not incorrect. And, in fact, you used the word 'prosecuted' incorrectly.

"Prosecute" and "persecute" are often confused because they share a similar sound and prefix. However, they have distinct meanings. @SumKindaMunster Go ahead and laugh. It's all you can do now
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@faery I didn't use either word incorrectly. You are pushing a grammatical argument, not a logical one.
People who come here illegally are subject to prosecution. You used persecution which is not the correct term in this circumstance.

@faery And look at you move the goalposts...so I DID use the words correctly then didn't I?
faery · 31-35, F
@SumKindaMunster Nope, not within the context.

@SumKindaMunster Now who's dragging out the grammatical argument by pushing a false goalpost narrative? All done talking about the issue at hand, I see 😂
Prosecution does not happen in a street 🙄
