@Nimbus So much waste in this country. Some people will throw away brand new things they get for holiday gifts. I heard someone at work say she threw away a brand new hand mixer. The reason was that her mother-in-law gave it to her and she didn’t like to bake. I asked her why she didn’t give it to someone else who did. And so many things are disposable too, they end up in the dumps. There are YouTubers who go around and get mostly scrap metal from dumpsters and make hundreds of dollars per week. If they didn’t all of that would go into the landfills.

@Nimbus I am thinking with the recent tariffs that it will help reduce some of the waste. And recycling may become more common if it the recycling is used to make things here that we need rather than send all of that overseas to China so they can make more shipping boxes and plastic things etc to ship back to us and make money. And with higher prices on a lot of things people may make durable goods a higher priority. And clothing etc that is not faddish.
