It’s easy is to turn away from the world and politics. Until you have a child, and then suddenly you’re anxious because it’s their world now.

My son is 8 months old and I’m thinking will his health care stay free as it was for me, will he be educated properly, will he be able to find work, buy a house, have money left over to have adventures with his friends.

I turned my back on the world when my friends and I came under sustained attack because of our religious beliefs, but now I need to use my votes and my actions to lay a foundation for him to build his own world.

For some, with children or not, politics affects their daily lives in some kind of way.

@bijouxbroussard I had created a world where I can be who my truly am.

But I have to calculate for a world where he makes different choices to me. And behind every outcome I will be there to love him.

@bijouxbroussard Also it helps I’m not American. It’s an extremist country.
@Ceinwyn Perhaps so.

@bijouxbroussard No doubt about it. There’s few places in the world quite like it.
@Ceinwyn It’s been better, admittedly. When’s the last time you visited us ?

@bijouxbroussard I was a little when I visited New York for Yule. Its size frightened me. But enjoyed the streets. I enjoy getting lost.
