I feel so dumb

My bf and I have been trying for a baby for ages and haven't got anywhere. Like he's been pumping me full every chance we get and I'm still not pregnant. We went to the doctor yesterday to get some advice. She asked if I was on any medication and I mentioned I was taking the pill.
Who was going to tell me that the pill stops you from getting pregnant??? 😂😭 I always thought it was for stopping unwanted pregnancies but nobody ever told me it was stopping the wanted ones too 😭
Plus we've been having both normal sex and anal to see if it helps our chances but apparently you can't even get pregnant with anal so it was pointless 😭
