Making our kitchen accessible
I did make a post about this but I wanted to make one more specific to this. The last one I made it was just a huge list of questions so I’m just separating it here.
My daughter Clara is six years old and she has a dwarfism, she is 1‘5“ tall and 18 pounds.we have tried a whole bunch of stepstools and learning towers to try to get Clara up high enough in order to reach the kitchen counters in sink in a way that is usable. Because of her height she needs to be up pretty high, so she can lean in as far as she can given that even at that point she still wouldn’t really be able to reach very much. it would be great if she could also use the kitchen sink when she wanted. Faucet controls and the water are way out of reach. We have tried many stepstools as well as a toddler learning towers. A learning tower gets her up much higher but it’s still isn’t bringing her up as high as she needs to be. She still can’t really reach the counters, or the faucet.
