Morally wrong but you have the right to block them since you pay the bill.

Wife's Dad had a stroke and is in rehab facility. Wife's Mom has MS and some mobility issues. We're staying with them now to help them. Wife is on FMLA. I'm working at home from their basement. They live 4 hours away from us. Wife has to go back to work in 2 weeks. They're coming to stay with us for about 6 months after wife's Dad gets out of rehab.

They love Fox News. And News Max.
And News Nation. So since I pay the cable bill, is it morally wrong to block those channels?
Oh just let them watch it, for goodness sake.

Always hard work if you have older folks in your care and your home no longer feels like your own.

But the aim of the game is to get them both fit enough to be able to be independent in their own place.

So you may have to put up with a few quirks and minor irritations to accomplish that aim in the shortest possible time

Blocking those channels isn't going to change their ideals. They're old and set in their ways. While you're certainly within the right to block the channels, why provoke the old folks- that'll probably only lead to more irritation on your part.

Don't block the channels, but tell them that you don't want to watch them on the main tv in the house, that way they can still watch them in their room and you don't have to see it. Everyone's happy!
Just ask if they can contribute to the cable bill.

Edit: or a set amount each week towards it and food and power 🤷‍♀
If you deny them their choice of news, you're essentially censoring them, not cool.
