Is age difference weird if you've dated others as young as those whose parents are not much older than you?

Like when people say they're married to spouses 13 years younger, but then there are people whose parents are only 20 years older than themselves. Maybe even weirder if the age difference between their parents and their grandparents are almost the same. I mean, imagine one family parenting at around 30 years old, and a family parenting at around 20 years old. When her grandpa is about as old as his dad.

Or am I just overthinking here?

My gf is 19 years younger than me. Maybe it’s strange for others, but we couldn’t be happier.

@OnlyfansFan My crush is only 19 years old and I'm 32 years old, and while the age differences within her family are just as big, also others agreed that in their cases, the age differences make things seem strange first. Now while writing this, I remember a case where some woman's aunt was 2 years younger than her because not only in this family the siblings had age differences at 20 years from the oldest to the youngest.

Is it likely though for others to react skeptical to such situations? It's weird to say, but her youngest sister is as old as my nephew.

@scooogy Some people have an issue with my relationship and she’s 26. People will definitely have an issue with yours. Our age gap is bigger than yours, but many people don’t see a teenager as a grown person. I don’t know her so I’m not judging; just saying people will.

@OnlyfansFan Did she have to overcome critical opinions before deciding to be with you? Because due to her age I feel like she's either only shy around older guys, or she is afraid of being avoided by people around her age for dating such "old" guys.

One thought of mine is that I look similar to her ex. Another is that I'm only 7 years younger than her father and sometimes appear as "bossy" as him (I guess) whenever I say things like "you should take care to do this and this soon" and such, for college or finding a job or similar things.

@scooogy No, she overcame the critical opinions after we were together. She’s a strong independent woman. From reading I’d say you need to let her grow up some before you pursue a relationship, but again I don’t know you or her, so do what’s best for the two of you.
