To my Father

To my daddy , today would have been your birthday. We didn’t have the ideal father daughter relationship for many reasons. I hold on to all the things that made you a beautiful person. I miss the hours we spent on the phone during that 10 year span when I thought I had you back in my life for good. Oh daddy I hope you knew that no matter what happened. I never stopped loving you. I hope you knew your little girl cherished all the moments we shared. I miss you and I wish I could still hear your voice. I love you ❤️

So touching of words, I watched my father decline and be able to be there less, while I knew his heart was there. It made me question the bond we had where he would take me out upon a lake with joy in his eyes, and I saw him later, always part of my life, that somewhere I knew he was hurting and could not say how. I chose to give him the love he gave me as if he were to heal it would be from the love he gave.

@Hopelessromantic45 That feeling is mutual together, I can listen to you pour out your words and your heart every time I hear your voice for I know how you love. And what I have found is while we all search for love, we all have hurts, we sometimes need to learn what our voices are saying to ourselves and my heart is saying I found a woman just as sensitive as me, just as loving, with all her hurts as I have mine, and I need her to know my love.

We have some mirrored parts in loss, I feel gives us understanding together, where our hearts speak together yet my feelings are this, I would have fell in love with you any moment I met you and what we have together now is something most people ask to hold together.
