Put a lock on the door. Maybe he needs to go to a school where he can learn how to be civil.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@Spoiledbrat yeah the autism services are so bad , he only gets like two hours of school as he is still on a very long waiting list to go to a special school

Maybe you can just love him and stop complaining

@Cherryblossom10 Look at your post. It's all about you. What about what your brother has to go through?
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@CactusJackManson yes I know it must be hard having that condition and not having any friends in school, not understanding why people don’t want to be around u , but at the same time I’m only human too , does that mean I shouldn’t talk about what stresses me out aswell ? I’m coming up with a plan to improve relationship with my younger brother and to figure out how I can teach him to do right things

Put a lock on the bedroom door?
Maybe it is an incentive to go to university so you can make more money?
Vengabus · 36-40
It sounds like you all need to learn some coping mechanisms that work for you, your brother included.
Perhaps there are ways his attention can be diverted before his meltdowns or his acting up starts. What does he like? What grabs his focus or his interest?
When he doesn’t get his way, instead of saying ‘no’ and combating him, try and refocus him on to something else.
@Vengabus What's your personal experience with the autistic?

Sometimes with autistic people, you have to just bring things to their attention so they will be aware
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@swandfriends he is non verbal and he only understands some things , I’ll try have a chat with him tomorrow about it , I was literally out all day and I get home and I go into bed and finally fix my bed and I put my blanket over me to realise he has pissed all over my blanket , I’m lazy to shower now but will clean and shower tomorrow and go library to study for my final exams and hopefully I’ll soon save up and move out

Lock your bedroom door
SW-User
You definitely need to install a lock. That’s the answer.
Cherryblossom10 · 22-25, F
@SW-User yeah I will get a lock because I just came home now from a hard day wanting to go to sleep and my clothes are scattered everywhere and he peed on my bedsheets again
Back in the day he would have been put in a county institution due to his behavior, I worked in the kitchen of one in the summer of 1987 when I was 17 in the literal ten miles ouside of town among the cornfields in iowa. The one I worked at was one of the nicer ones with a home like set up, but the one a couple of counties over was more like an institutional asylum you see in the movies.
