My stepdad past away last night so suddenly and I’m super worried about my mom and younger sister.

How can I be supportive? I live 3 hours away and I plan to go visit tomorrow. But I just don’t even know what to say. My mom feels guilty for not making him go to the doctor for his issues but I told her it’s not her fault. He had a bad seizure and went into cardiac arrest. They were able to revive him but he was brain dead from not breathing so they pulled the plug, plus he had no insurance. So im sure they played a part in that decision. It’s just so sad. He was only 50.

That's very sad to hear. One way you can be supportive is to talk to your mother and listen to her about her guilt. Really listen, draw her out. And THEN tell her why she needn't feel guilty. And she'll probably want to tell you several more times about her guilt. She needs to get that off her chest, and you can be the real listener who helps with that.
