No feelings for family

Just wondering if I’m the only one. Does anyone else just have pretty neutral feelings towards their family? It’s not that I don’t love them—I do care about them. It’s just that they’re just kind of…there. I don’t really like spending time with them all that much except on holidays and stuff. If they invite me over, I’ll go if I’ve got nothing else to do. But if they invite me over for dinner and I’ve got food in the fridge I need to eat, I’d generally rather eat at home. If it’s an emergency, then yeah, I’ll be there for them because I love them. But otherwise I’d rather just be left alone.

As opposed to my friends, whom I love more actively. I actually enjoy spending time with them, which is why I chose them as friends. I’ll actually have *THEM* over for dinner, ask them about their life, and miss them if I go too long without seeing them. As opposed to my family, whom I can go for months without seeing and be perfectly fine.
