@Sojournersoul A coworker loaned me the video for a weekend a couple years after it was released. When I returned it back to him on Monday morning he asked me how I liked it. I told him I watched it 3 times.

@Sojournersoul I remember in the late-60’s hearing a story of a boy who killed his mother, this supposedly took place in Arkansas. His father was in the military & got sent to Viet Nam. His mother found a boyfriend and the boy found them having sex. He murdered his mother because of it. I have wondered if that scene where Karl killed his mother was based on that story…I believe it was a true story

@Sojournersoul It seems like the setting for the movie was in Arkansas, the way they talked etc in a small town.

@Sojournersoul The last time we watched the DVD it seemed to come up missing. I haven’t found it and have been looking for it. The copies for sale are very expensive now for some reason. Haven’t been able to find a reasonable price for a used copy.
