16yr old hates me extra today bc I “stole” my own id back from her. Like yeah would be pretty irresponsible of me if i didnt take it back when i found it. The last thing we need rn is her getting in trouble with police for using a fake id

She definitely needs to be disciplined for that. You don't take your mother's ID. There needs to be limits and boundaries.

I'd say that deserves massive grounding, all electronics locked up, she can use the phone in the school office if she needs one.
