Do children deserve apologies and explantions from parents ?

Sometimes, depending on the situation. I'd think that if a parents makes a mistake it would be good to acknowledge it to the child, not just providing a apology but also providing a good example to the child that no one is perfect and apologizing isn't something to be ashamed of.
