Today, I would like to complain about the mentality of people who choose to 'block' someone in the middle of a friendly, informative discussion.
Today I got blocked by cheerokeepatti right here in this thread when I tried to tell her why her clothes washer broke down and caused a flood in her house, which were stated facts that were contrary to her perception that her washing machine had otherwise frozen solid because a metrological 'Cold Front' had passed through her area, despite the fact that the interior of her house was 75*F at the time!
I work professionally as a Marine Propulsion Design Engineer and I design propulsion systems for ocean yachts and military submarines. I am acutely familiar with the mechanical shortcomings of household water pressure when it's applied to Chinese-made plastic water transfer components which are typically used in baseline domestic washing machines for sale at Home Depot, because I've researched, I've held those components in my hand and I know better than to buy a washing machine which utilizes plastic components made from recycled plastic waste material from largely unknown sources.
Rather than hear the rational truth about the fate of her washing machine from me and learn as well which brand of washers to avoid like the plague, she instead chose to block me when I wouldn't agree that her washing machine froze solid in her heated laundry room during the passage of a Cold Front in her geographical area.
I hope patti feels better today for her sake and I also hope that when she eventually un-blocks me that she comes back here to this thread to find out what really happened to her washing machine before she goes back to Home Depot or Lowes where she bought that piece of crap in the first place and buys another one just like it to replace the failed unit.
