Do you celebrate New year where you come from?

We visited relatives in Scotland ( where I was born) and we call it Hogmanay. I was around 12 but remember the neighbours all having a drink in each others houses and lots of dancing.
We still normally stay up to see the new year in even now but hoping to go out this year to see a band or singer.

Ahhh....so you're from the land of my ancestors (on my mum's side). Have you ever heard of Ayr?

Hogmanay....how fascinating. Is that a Gaelic word? My autocorrect almost typed 'garlic' 🧄 😂😂😂😂
@27club Yes I have heard if Ayr. It's by the coast

@happygoluckygal Indeed it is. How far are you from that part of the coast? I don't know 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 that well
@27club We moved from Scotland when I was about 4 but still visit family.
