Seems nobody much gives a **** about God or love or marriage any more. Why bother when you have a contented life wanking and fucking an endless chain of mindless, like-minded ****s without commitment because you're never going to be answerable to anyone? And who wants children any more? Aren't they too much work?
I read a book many years ago, fascinating perspective, very different from my own, though its nihilistic conclusion didn't seem far from what seems to be true about out near future. "Atomised," it's called, or "The Elementary Particles."

@PhilDeep This is not true yet. People still do care about traditions regarding love and marriage and kids. Admittedly, the forces eroding this traditional way of life are becoming all powerful with the dominance of technology in human life. Everyone is hanging onto his/her/its cellphone. We are all connected electronically every which way in life, the pace is accelerating ever faster.
At this point in time, we are still at the cross-roads before we turn thoroughly mechanical.

@Magenta I am not man, and would not want to be a woman on account of the pain of pregnancy and childbirth not to mention the anguish of suffering when pain befalls her offspring. Blessed is she who is drawn to take on this vocation of motherhood. The institution of marriage pays tribute to her place in society.
