So...That Was F-U-N!!!
Busy little day, yesterday for me and our @KarenDuponteDurose, what with work (for her), keeping Hope (or daughter) distracted and, alongside Gina (my mate), sorting out the venue for Hope's 9th Birthday Party....
20 odd kids, means 20 odd gift bags...banners, tables of various nibbles and drinks...sound system...chairs...balloons....party poppers....adults....Spiderman...Thor... Captain America....Iron Man....The Hulk.
Lots of fun games, quite a bit of spillage of various liquids - mostly drink! - some food trod into the floor, lost of running around, quite a bit (too much for my young ears!) of screaming.....but all fun...
High points? Seeing Hope's face when she got there (we arranged for everyone to be there prior to her coming - thanks Gina!), looking over at one point and seeing Kaz cry, proudly, watching her, the assembled Avengers calling Hope a princess and seeing her smile, getting chatted up by The Hulk (nice guy, too green for me! Lol!) and having quite a high-brow conversation on just why Marvel rules over DC....
It ended with "...look, kid...it's Hope's party. DC sucks, Marvel rules. Get yourself a Fanta...."
Bloody kids!
All the parents were really lovely too. Lots of smiles. Lots of chats with various mums and dads....and all the kids seemed to love it too.
We had a big cake - thanks Katy - went down very well!
Hope was quite spoilt. She has her guitar stuff from us - Line 6 POD Go amp/fx setup - clothes from Kaz's side of the family and some really cool toys from @AmberDuponte and @MartikaDuponte1 - thank you, they are really lovely!
Thanks to Shabs, Gina and some of the other dad's for help in keeping the kids in line and the help with chairs and cleaning up afterwards. Many hands make light work!
Hope's never stopped smiling!
