So, what with your's truly here starting her 53rd year on this planet, come May 23rd, and a lovely birthday party with friends and family, we all decamped down to London for a extended weekend.
Myself, Kaz and Hope that is. Mulder is being cat sitted (is that the right term?). So a nice relaxed weekend with the fam, doing all the touristy stuff - Buck Pal, various eateries etc - and having a lovely time.
Staying in quite a posh hotel (well, for this Yorkshire lass anyways!) and today was the gorgeous day of heading to Wembley, alongside 46,000 other Sheffield Wednesday supporters, and seeing our team - in the glorious sunshine, in a glorious setting - perform in the League 1 Playoff Final. Winner gets to play in the Championship...
22 shots in total.....player sent off for Barnsley.....Barnsley hitting the woodwork.....Goal disallowed for us Owls.....extra time...1 minute away from going to penalties.....then...

Hope had to wear ear protectors throughout, it was deafening! Good end-to-end stuff, battling through, not premiership level, naturally, but really good!
Considering that after the 1st leg of the semi's we were 4-0 down, and picked ourselves up to get to Wembley.
Finishing 3rd in the league...only fitting that we were the 3rd team promoted!
I was screaming...I was crying....back at the hotel, getting changed, then a bite to eat and then going back home...
