Parents do you read your kids social media messages and do they know that they do? If so to what age?

Do you wrestle with the morality of it?

There's no morality involved. That's my child and one of my biggest responsibilities is to protect him. In this case, it's to protect him from online predators and pediphiles. It's my responsibility to check his messages to make sure no one is leading him in to making decisions without my knowledge. It's my responsibility to make sure pediphiles aren't pretending to be kids his age, and making suggestions to lure him away from home. I've had this talk with him, but I still need to do my job as a parent and check on things. I don't bother him about messages that I deem appropriate from a kid his own age, as long as I've determined that is a kid from school that he knows.
