I envy someone I know.

Today, she managed to talk to her mother about her academic performance and was able to tell her how she felt. From her depression and to the fact that it's just so hard to get up in the morning to do everything she's supposed to be doing.
But honestly, good for her. It's hard to be able to tell your parents how you feel because you don't know what their reaction is going to be.

But, I still get jealous.
I don't mean that she doesn't deserve to have that conversation and to be accepted and validated because she does. She deserves the world and she's a very good person.
I just feel this way because I know I'll never get what she has. She has a supportive mother, a good financial background, and a comfortable life. She has it well. Though her struggles are valid because her mother isn't perfect and has committed a lot of mistakes that are very heavy for a child, she has it so good right now. I'm really jealous.

I wish her the best but, it still seems unfair that my parents would never be as accepting as hers are.

In life there is always someone who seems better off but there are a whole load of people who are worse off. We are given a hand of cards to play with and we gotta play them as best we can
