Just A General Little Life 'Catch Up' And....MERRY XMAS!
Hi,
Yes, before some of you (that care/bother) go on...yes it has been quite a long time since I've been on here. Probably since late summer. It's not you, it's me...as all those conversations go. Life has been a bit on the busy side and just relaxing sometimes means away from all sorts of media....
So. Where does one begin? It's been nothing dramatic/sexy/exciting/traumatic (delete where appropriate) but just...life.
We got the new house - holiday house...our old house, back in the day - which has meant that I've not cut down my hours, as had been originally planned, to pay for it. That's slightly annoyed Kaz, the wife, but she knows the importance of investment. We'd been out of that house for over 8 years and we've had to titivate it a bit from what the previous owners had done (ruined!!!!!) to it, which has took time - Surrey to the East Mids whenever we could. It's looking good now, thankfully.
Erhhhh...what else? Well, Hope - our daughter - is doing fine. Enjoying life, still cycling and playing guitar....and still listening to Steve Vai....bless her. She's growing up fast, well into 'Stranger Things' too. Don't know if that's suppose to be what a regular 8 year old should watch, but she knows the difference between real life (ish) and make believe - although she loves the Easter Bunny and Santa...go figure! Lol!
Mulder, our cat, has been a little poorly a few months ago. He's on the mend and back to normal but we did all worry about him.
Kaz.....bless my girl....she's been struggling not only with a cold at the moment - ongoing in the Duponte/Durose household - but off with mental exhaustion. Hard being a Deputy Head and Acting Head of a Primary School and she has worked her arse off throughout the Covid times....but just, as Bono and the rest of U2 would state, '..Running To Stand Still..'
I worry about her. She's a fantabulous teacher, and obviously my partner, and I wish I could make it all better for her.
Hey ho.
My eldest, Martika has had a big year this year. No, not in terms of age, but in terms of life. A lot to juggle with, a better mindset...and a loving family that are helping her get through her issues...
My sis, Ambs? All good with her. No drama. We're both excited for Xmas.
Me? Tired...got a cold....but i'll get over it. Enjoying the World Cup - my fav's are in the Final, France - and looking forward to Xmas. Got the tree up, presents wrapped.....and a house full of mince pies....
So, wishing you all a VERY MERRY - AND MESSY - XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
