What would you do if you said your brother's cooking sucked and he started crying?

Let's say your brother, ( 17) made something and it tastes terrible. People at the table say it is bad and he starts looking like he's about to cry- what would you do/ say?

Sounds dysfunctional, instead of putting down his cooking skills, perhaps someone should give brother some cooking lessons. It's hard to make a dinner, and he has the ambition, just no support. That's sad, that a family would be so harsh, and strike him down for trying. Ingrates.
