So.....How Do You View Your In-Laws?

Preferably through a pair of Binoculars, sweeties?

Do you like them? Get on with them? Do they grate on your nerves? Do they interfere?

For me, to quote 'Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy', they're [i]mostly[/i] harmless. They're still giving undertones of not accepting me a woman and having a few issues on homosexuality/transsexuality but, after all these years - 4 odd years or so - they're getting there.

What's yours like?

I have the most amazing in-laws I could possibly wish. They've done so much for our family and still do ^^

My husband however is not so lucky in return 😅 My dad has always been supportive, but he's not a very good husband to my mother. And well my mother is neither 🤷‍♀️ Wasn't a particular good mom either. It's not like I don't get along with them, I moved out of the house like 12 years ago so I've had a lot of time to process, forgive & rebuild the relationship with them. My relationship with my parents is good now because I'm no longer dependent on them. Whatever they do on their own time & to eachother is up to them.

My parents in law however, are a true example & support. I would dare say they even contributed to me not unconsciously turning out like my parents. I met them when I was 15 and started dating my now husband.
