So.....How Do You View Your In-Laws?

Preferably through a pair of Binoculars, sweeties?

Do you like them? Get on with them? Do they grate on your nerves? Do they interfere?

For me, to quote 'Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy', they're mostly harmless. They're still giving undertones of not accepting me a woman and having a few issues on homosexuality/transsexuality but, after all these years - 4 odd years or so - they're getting there.

What's yours like?

Atleast they getting there. How do they feel about their child married to u?

My In Laws are better than my own parents. I had a toxic relationship with mum. Due to her ruthless reputation my dad never supported her and he was with friends rather than his own fam.

My in laws? Despite poverty brought up 2 beautiful daughters with love, care and affection. Support and encouragement! My own parents... no support, no encouragement.

@Sazzio Awwww...they sound lovely! Glad you have that support, hun. Yes, parents can be...unpredictable...sadly.

Well, we're engaged which is as far as we wanted to take things - that's our 'marriage' as such - and we had the reception/party in a gay club, so lots of trans people around.

To be fair, they're not been around that selection of people before whereas my dad finds it cool that he was being chatted up by drag queens, y'know?

I think it's the usual thing - some people are too afraid to embrace an alternative sexuality as it might make them that sexuality themselves...
